About the Founder

Travis Wackerly is a musician, storyteller, and foster care advocate who has spent time on the road as the fiddle player for Wade Hayes, Country Supergroup Ricochet, and Jamie O’Neal. While music opened doors and stages across the country, Travis eventually found a deeper calling, using creativity not just to entertain, but to awaken compassion and move people toward action.

Travis currently works in foster care awareness with The Family Initiative, where he serves in a professional, corporate capacity, while See the 1 represents the personal, creative, and purpose-driven expression of his heart for children and families.

Today, Travis uses music, podcasts, and bold street-level conversations to communicate foster care in ways corporations and traditional systems often fail to, by telling honest stories that feel personal, human, and impossible to ignore. He is an adoptive father of two boys, a biological father of one, and has been married to his wife, Cindy, for 15 years. Everything he creates through See the 1 is rooted in the belief that real change happens when people stop seeing numbers, and start seeing one child.
